All persons who wish to stay in Germany for more than 90 days are required to obtain a residence Permit.

The Embassy Port-of-Spain is responsible for applicants residing in Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, British Virgin Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Montserrat, St. Lucia, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Vincent & The Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago.

All persons who wish to stay in Germany for more than 90 days are required to obtain a residence permit.

Not subject to this requirement are citizens of the EU and citizens of Australia, Canada, Island, Israel, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, the Republic of Korea, Switzerland and the United States of America. Citizens of all other countries who intend to come to Germany for such a stay must apply in person for a visa at the Embassy before arriving in the country.

Family members of EU/EWR citizens residing in Germany (not Germans) could request separated appointments. You can send the enquiry via E-mail, Fax or Mail addressed to the Visa section. Please provide proof that your spouse/ is citizens of an EU/EWR country and lives in Germany (Passport copy and registration certificate “Meldebescheinigung”).

The application can only be submitted on the day of the appointment at the Embassy in Port-of-Spain in person.

Please note that the German Embassy reserves the right to ask for additional documents at any time during processing. Submission of the below mentioned documents does not guarantee that a visa is granted.
