International Coaching Courses at the University of Leipzig
Are you looking for a new sporting challenge? Apply for a free postgraduate study for sport trainers in Germany!
Every year, on behalf of the Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany and in cooperation with the Sports Science Faculty of the University of Leipzig, the university organizes several International Courses of Continued Studies for coaches and P.E. teachers from Latin America & the Caribbean. The applicants must be nationals of Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Montserrat, Suriname, St. Lucia or St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
All courses are translated in English. The duration of the courses is 5 months (either from March till July or from September till January).

Eligable for application are applicants up to 40 years of age with:
- a university/college degree in the field of sports
- experience as active athletes and as coaches / P.E. teachers
- good physical and psychological aptitude.
- specialization (theory and practice)
- general science of training
- sports medicine
- sports pedagogy
- sports psychology
- strength training
- sports massage
- German language
The course is sponsored by the Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany. Every participant receives a monthly allowance. The applicants or the sending organisations must bear the costs for the medical examinations in their home country themselves, as well as the costs for independent travel to and from the place of study Leipzig, including health and accident insurance, and for luggage transport.
Submit your application to the German Embassy in Port of Spain. Please submit your application to the Embassy no later than four weeks before the application deadline. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
